Dr. Reto Fritsche is from Switzerland. He completed his veterinary degree at The University of Bern, Switzerland in 2007. After working in Switzerland in private practice for three years he completed a Doctorate at the University of Zurich in small animal reproduction. In 2012 he went on to complete a residency program in comparative Theriogenology (animal reproduction) at Louisiana State University. He obtained the specialist degree DACT (Diplomat of The American College of Theriogenologists) in 2014 and completed his residency and a Master of Science in 2015.

Dr. Reto has recently joined the Ward Animal Hospital Team with the intent to provide specialized reproductive services for all species. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Texas, fishing, hiking, skiing, and snowboarding (obviously outside of Texas).
