Be responsible for equine, bovine, ovine, caprine, & canine reproductive veterinary services including but not limited to ultrasounds, pregnancy evaluation, & management of birthing problems, embryo transfer & freezing, artificial insemination, semen collection, semen preservation & breeding soundness examinations. Examine animals to detect & determine the nature of diseases/injuries. Treat sick/injured animals. Inoculate animals against various diseases. Counsel clients about deaths of their pets/euthanasia decisions for their pets. Advise animal owners regarding sanitary measures, feeding, general care, medical conditions, or treatment options. Educate public about diseases that can be spread from animals to humans.  Establish or conduct quarantine/testing procedures that prevent the spread of diseases to other animals or to humans and that comply with applicable government regulations. Travel to farms to visit animals, if required. Require: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or its equivalent; 3 years of work experience in Veterinary Medicine including 2 years in mixed clinical setting (bovine, canine, equine, feline & small ruminants); Licensed/eligible to be licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine & Surgery in the State of Texas, Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists; & Advanced clinical training in canine breeding management, including Transcervical Insemination (TCI) in dogs.
